Service technician (lead and apprenticeship)

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC equipment, including rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, package units, heat pumps, furnaces, and air handlers
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on commercial HVAC systems
  • Identify mechanical and electrical issues and recommend corrective actions
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Replace motors, compressors, belts, filters, controls, and other HVAC components
  • Test system performance and ensure proper operation after repairs
  • Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and documentation
  • Communicate clearly with customers, supervisors, and team members
  • Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and local/state codes
  • Assist senior technicians with complex diagnostics and major repairs
  • Participate in on-call rotation as required
